ATLS is a theoretical-practical training course for physicians working in emergency services and aims to standardize the initial assessment and care of the traumatized patient, as well as improve care within the most advanced criteria already adopted by numerous developed countries.
Present in more than 60 countries, ATLS is one of the main trauma trainings and is considered a prerequisite in emergency services in several public and private health institutions.
