Encouraging active aging provides the elderly population with the opportunity to participate in social activities, take care of their health and safety, while maintaining their quality of life.
Therefore, promoting health, independence, and quality of life for seniors through physical activity is essential for a natural, healthy aging process. This course was developed specifically for multidisciplinary professionals and laypeople who wish to learn more about the benefits and safe practices for seniors.
With a practical and scientific approach, eight video lessons will be offered, exploring everything from the fundamentals of aging to the application of exercises adapted to different conditions and fitness levels. Furthermore, strategies will be presented to motivate and engage older adults in regular physical activity, promoting not only physical benefits but also social and emotional benefits.
